Late last week the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has elevated the West Nile Virus risk levels for Boston, Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop to High when a man from Suffolk county died due to complications from the virus.
Residents in these areas should continue to take steps to protect themselves against mosquito bites by using insect repellant, cover up, and avoid outdoor activities at dusk and after nightfall when mosquitoes are most active.
