An effective tool to fight mosquito borne diseases such as West Nile, EEE and Zika virus
West Nile, EEE, and Zika are serious viral diseases that are rapidly spreading in regions across the world. These diseases are primarily transmitted by mosquitoes, which have become increasingly difficult to control as they have developed resistance to chemical insecticides. To combat this issue, the In2Care Mosquito Stations was developed with novel and green ingredients that target both mosquito larvae and adults.
The In2Care Mosquito Station is made from durable polyethylene, which can withstand tropical weather conditions for several years. The trap’s effectiveness is further enhanced by the fact that its activity is not limited to the trap itself, but extends to the surrounding area. This is particularly beneficial in high-risk areas with many mosquito breeding sources, where area-wide deployment is recommended with two traps per 8,600 sq ft.
To maintain optimal activity, the gauze strip on the trap floater should be replaced every 4-6 weeks with easy-to-use refill sachets. By using this innovative trap, it is possible to significantly reduce mosquito populations and thus the spread of mosquito-borne diseases in tropical regions.
