Did you know there is a crazy spider wasp that hunts tarantulas?
The Tarantula Hawk is up to 2 inches long and can leave a very intense and painful sting. The female Tarantula Hawk is the one that goes after tarantulas, and the sting instantly paralyzes it and then the body becomes a nest for a single egg, which is laid in the spider’s abdomen.
The tarantula hawk feeds on the spider, but avoids vital organs to keep it alive for as long as possible. A few weeks later, the larva becomes an adult and continues the cycle.
