#1 — Clear Out Lawn & Tree Debris:
Ticks thrive in shady, moist areas. Clear away compost and debris piles and separate play areas with wood chips or gravel.

#2 — Clean Up & Check Out Hiding Places:
Clear out leaf litter and brush around your property and keep tall grass short and mowed. Frequently check fences and brick and patio retaining walls.

#3 — Care For Pets:
Your family pets may be bringing ticks on to your property. You can talk to your vet about developing a strategy for tick prevention. Consider using a tick collar, topical or spray.
